Screaming Soul

My heart is shattered, torn apart A soul once whole, now in pieces Screams escape my lips, echoing in the dark A love that was once so strong, now weak and lame

Tears fall like rain, as I remember you The way you laughed, the way you smiled The love we shared, now feels like a distant dream My heart aches, my eyes are red

I scream your name, into the night Hoping you’ll hear me, and come back to me But silence is all that surrounds me Leaving me alone, with only my broken heart

I thought our love was unbreakable A fire that burned brighter with each passing day But now that flame has been extinguished Leaving me lost, in a sea of despair

My heart is broken, my soul is screaming For the love that once was, but now is gone Leaving me empty, lost, and alone But still I hold on, to the memories of us.

I stand here, amidst the storm My heart aching, my soul torn I scream for you, but you’re not here Leaving me with only fear
