Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? – Darwin Nunez provides frivolous response to GOAT debate
Liverpool superstar Darwin Nunez provided a humorous response when asked who between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is better. Nunez kept a straight face and answered that his club teammate Mohamed Salah is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
The German manager said:
“I think we all agree that the potential is so obvious, I think it’s clear when you see the second chance, the big chance in the second half [against Villa], he can run a little bit on an angle and then he has a free choice, all these kind of things.”
“But it is all coming. You do it like this, the next time you do it like that. I had this situation with Lewy but it is not only Lewy. He is the obvious comparison, I understand.”
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently compared the Uruguayan with Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski. He told the media (via BBC): “There are a lot of similarities to be honest, I think Lewy would tell the same story. We had shooting sessions where he didn’t finish off one. We had bets all the time for 10 euros – ‘if you score more than 10 times, I will pay you 10; if you don’t, you have to pay me’. My pocket was full of money! It’s all about staying calm. Rishabh Pant got injured in his car accident:
India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Friday sustained injuries after his car collided with the divider and caught fire while he was travelling from Delhi to Uttarakhand. He was driving his Mercedes car, which met with an accident near Roorkee in Uttarakhand. Pant has sustained injuries to his head, knee and shin as a result of the accident. There could be a fracture in his leg and he is currently being moved to the Max Hospital in Dehradun. After Pant got injured in the road accident, people from all walks of life took to Twitter and wished the cricketer a speedy recovery.

Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows feels that hiring members from other teams helps them in understanding what their rivals are doing, which will aid them in learning and getting better.The Silverstone-based team has held an extensive recruitment drive in the last few years where multiple members from other teams, including Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari, have joined it.
When questioned about what benefits Aston Martin gain by hiring members who have worked with other teams, Fallows stated that it helps them learn about the strengths of their rivals, which can help them achieve the maximum possible growth.

Andrew Tate has easily been one of the most famous and talked about people in the world over the past two years. The boxer turned social media influencer is now mentioned daily on almost all world platforms and programs. He was even famously mentioned on WWE SmackDown by Roman Reigns’ special counsel Paul Heyman.A couple of months ago, leading up to WWE Crown Jewel. Heyman, speaking for his Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, was in a trash-talking promo with then-rival Logan Paul. During the promo, Heyman mentioned Tate stating that the latter would not want to face Roman Reigns.
There were plans in place for Tate to face Logan Paul’s brother Jake Paul. However, after the news of his arrest, the match has been put on hold and the chances of it happening are uncertain.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Neymar Jr. has allegedly forced his second yellow card in the Parisians’ Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg to enjoy New Year’s Day off by avoiding their subsequent encounter, as per Diario AS (via El Nacional).PSG secured a 2-1 victory over Strasbourg on Wednesday (December 28), with Marquinhos opening the scoring for the French giants early in the first half. However, the Brazilian centre-back was also a source of misfortune. Adrien Thomasson’s cross deflected off Marquinhos and found its way into the back of the net, resulting in an own goal. The game seemed to be a stalemate until Kylian Mbappe grabbed the match-winner for PSG after converting a penalty in injury time.
Roger Federer reminisces about meeting Pele, pays tribute to the legendary footballer after passing
Roger Federer recently paid tribute to legendary footballer Pele following the demise of the Brazilian legend. The tennis icon also recalled his meeting with Pele 10 years ago.One of the greatest footballers of all time and the only man to win the FIFA World Cup three times, Pele passed away on December 29 at the age of 82 due to the progression of his colon cancer.
Federer went down memory lane to reminisce about his meeting with Pele during his visit to Brazil as part of the Gillette Federer Tour 10 years ago. Federer reacted to a social media post that reflected on the Swede’s encounter with Pele.During their meeting, Federer was gifted a signed Brazil jersey by the football great. Kenny Bolin recently recalled the time when Bobby Lashley and Mark Henry fought each other in a shoot wrestling match.Lashley was part of WWE’s Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) developmental system in 2005. Bolin, a former OVW on-screen manager, witnessed The All Mighty’s impressive wrestling skills during a pre-planned legitimate fight with Henry.

Henry competed in five OVW matches in 2005 on his road to recovery from a torn quadriceps muscle. WWE billed the Hall of Famer at 400 pounds upon his return to the main roster. However, he was also advertised at a lighter weight during other stages of his career.

Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom recently spoke out against the league’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.The NBA has a long-standing relationship with the CCP, and Adam Silver is known to be a close confidante of senior members of the party. NBA owners are also known to have invested around $10 billion in China, with the league having decent relationships with the CCP overall.
The Washington Wizards franchise also posted a video showing Chinese ambassador Qin Gang throwing free throws on the team court. In March 2021, the NBA signed a deal with China Central Television for the broadcast rights of the league.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam rued bad light after the first Test against New Zealand in Karachi finished in a draw. The right-handed batter also felt their five-man bowling attack came together well in the first Test.Pakistan declared at 311-8 in their second innings to set the Kiwis a target of 138 runs in 15 overs. While the tourists played aggressively and seemed on track for a 1-0 series lead, bad light forced the umpires to declare the result as a draw.

Manchester United plan to accelerate contract talks with Barcelona target
Manchester United are reportedly planning to tie Barcelona target Diogo Dalot to a long-term deal.Dalot has been in fine form for the Red Devils so far this season. He has played 20 games across competitions, all of them as starters in the playing XI. He has scored one goal and provided two assists and his form has attracted interest from across Europe.
The Catalan club, meanwhile, have suffered with the right-back spot. Sergino Dest was loaned out to AC Milan after failing to impress at Camp Nou. Hector Bellerin arrived from Arsenal at the start of the season but he has been mediocre so far and has made only five appearances.
According to O’Jogo, Barcelona have now turned their attention to Dalot. The Portuguese fullback’s recent deal with the Red Devils has been extended for a year.Manchester United, however, are looking to hand him a five-year long-term extension and will look to keep the player for the foreseeable future.
