Heather Graham takes hat-trick without realising it as Australia put India to sword

An awesome display of hitting by Ash Gardner and Grace Harris secured Australia a 4-1 series win in the T20 international series in India. The duo smashed 129 in 10.2 overs in an unbeaten fifth-wicket partnership in Mumbai, providing the platform for an impressive 54-run win.

Their exploits even overshadowed a hat-trick by Heather Graham, though that was also because six overs were bowled between second and third dismissals. Australia, put into bat, racked up 196-4 off their 20 overs. In reply India could only muster 142, being all out off the final ball.

Mark Noble said ‘If a top club wants Declan Rice they’re just going to pay for him, full stop’

As Mark Noble considers the enormous task he will face in his new role as West Ham’s sporting director, he shares his belief that, “in the next 10 to 15 years probably half of the Premier League’s teams will be owned by countries”. Noble played more than 500 games for West Ham, from 2004 to May this year, and the consistency and loyalty of that commitment stand in sharp contrast with the outlandish riches which will transform the Premier League much further.
“People love football, globally,” Noble says as he prepares to begin his challenging position in January. “Other sports are fantastic but they don’t [generate] that affection, yes obsession, we have with football. I’m talking about countries that people don’t even know exist which love football.”

Rangers score twice in injury time to complete epic comeback at Aberdeen

A dramatic Scott Arfield double in added time gave Rangers a stunning 3-2 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

The Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin came in for widespread criticism following his side’s defensive display in the 1-0 home defeat by Celtic on Saturday and his side were keen to make amends but fell behind to a Fashion Sakala goal after 12 minutes. The Granite City men levelled just before the break when forward Luís Lopes beat Ibrox keeper Allan McGregor with a free-kick from 20 yards.

Aberdeen came out for the second half fired up and soon went ahead. Liam Scales’ cross into the box was cleared by Rangers’ James Sands but only to Leighton Clarkson, on loan from Liverpool, who sent a dipping shot from distance over McGregor and into the corner of the net.

England’s bowlers have cast a spell in Pakistan without a magician

When cricket lovers discuss this new England, they rave about the batting. So fearless! Five an over! All day long! Sometimes even seven! And everybody at it (except Ben Foakes, the designated driver). If fast scoring was all Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum had brought us, it would be quite something. But they would not have won nine Tests out of 10.
The second most exciting thing about this new era, and perhaps the most significant, is that England keep bowling their opponents out. Whether they’re facing New Zealand, India, South Africa or Pakistan, every time Stokes’s England take the field, they come back with all 10 wickets. The only time they didn’t collect 20 in a match was against South Africa at Lord’s in August, when the batters blew it and England lost by an innings. It really is All Or Nothing.

Wayne Barnes among group aiming to protect referees from online abuse

Wayne Barnes is among a group of leading referees who have established the first representative organisation for match officials with one of the fundamental aims to protect the well-being of its members amid growing concerns over the rise in abuse they have received.

Barnes last week revealed how he had considered giving up refereeing as a result of the online abuse he and his family was subjected to in the wake of his 100th Test – France’s narrow win against South Africa. Soon after that match the Springboks director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus, released a series of social-media comments criticising Barnes’s performance. There followed a torrent of online abuse with Barnes revealing his wife, Polly, was the target of threats of sexual violence.

F1 drivers banned from making ‘political statements’ without permission

Formula One drivers will need prior written permission from the sport’s governing body to make “political statements” from next season following an update of the International Sporting Code.
The 2023 version of the code, which applies to all series sanctioned by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), was published on the governing body’s website with changes highlighted.

The FIA added a new clause regarding “the general making and display of political, religious and personal statements or comments notably in violation of the general principle of neutrality promoted by the FIA under its statutes”.
Drivers who make such statements will now be in breach of the rules unless the FIA has granted previous approval in writing.

“Kylian Mbappe Doesn’t Know Enough About Football” said by Lionel Messi’s Teammate Ahead Of FIFA World Cup Final

The FIFA World Cup 2022 has been touted as a showdown between two of the finest stars in world football — Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi — at present. The two superstar footballers, who are also teammates at the club level, playing for Paris Saint-Germain, are also among the top scorers in Qatar, ahead of the final. While there’s little separating the two, Mbappe feels his France side has the edge over Messi’s Argentina as “football isn’t as advanced in South America”. However, Messi’s teammate Emiliano Martinez isn’t quite happy hearing such comments from the French forward.

“He doesn’t know enough about football. He never played in South America. When you don’t have this experience, it may be better not to talk about it. But it doesn’t matter. We are a great team, recognised as such,” Martinez said in a press conference ahead of the World Cup final.

The Indian hockey team won the Women’s FIH Nations Cup 2022 final on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Spain, securing their spot in the 2023-24 FIH Pro League. Promotion to the Women’s Pro League hockey for the next season was up for grabs for the winner of the Women’s FIH Nations Cup, which had just concluded its inaugural season. In the opening quarter, Gurjit Kaur (5′) scored the lone goal which eventually turned out to be a game-winning goal. Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat will lock horns for the second time this season, in the tenth match of the Big Bash League 2022. The Simonds Stadium in Geelong will host this fixture. The two sides met recently, in the third game of the tournament, where Nic Maddinson played the captain’s knock and took Melbourne Renegades to a 22-run win.

But the batters will have to be aware of Brisbane Heat’s Matthew Kuhnemann, who posed a threat in the previous game. At a spin-friendly track, he can try and turn the game around any time. As for the Renegades, Akeal Hosein stood out in the bowling department, against the Heat, and thus it will be another thrilling contest.

Australia vs South Africa: Steve Smith labels Gabba pitch as most difficult wicket after 1st Test win on Day 2

Steve Smith labelled the Gabba pitch as the most difficult wicket after Australia wrapped the first Test against South Africa on Day 2 and was hoping that the conditions at the MCG would suit batters in the second Test.

Australia bundled out South Africa for 99 in the second innings and needed only 35 runs to win the first Test match. The hosts fumbled and lost four wickets before going 1-0 in the series.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee graded the Gabba pitch as “below average” and said that it was “not an even contest between bat and ball”.

Earlier this year, Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Bob Chapek fought off an activist investor seeking a spinoff of ESPN and other TV properties, but Wells Fargo analysts believe a change at the top will lead Disney to make that move in 2023.

“We think Bob Iger is returning to Disney to make big changes,” the analysts wrote Tuesday about Disney’s DIS former CEO, who was reinstalled in his old position last month. “Spinning ESPN/ABC is the best path forward and we see it as a reasonably probable late-’23 event.”

Activist investor Dan Loeb’s Third Point LLC bought a significant stake in Disney stock earlier this year and immediately agitated for change, including a potential spinoff of ESPN. Loeb wrote then that the move would “attract shareholders seeking the respective qualities of each company, allowing the Disney parent multiple to expand as its earnings growth rate increases and the remaining business is no longer haunted by the specter of cord-cutting.”

Mandy Rose has made half-a-million on FanTime in one week since WWE firing

Ever since we learned that WWE released former NXT Women’s champion Mandy Rose for the more risqué content she was posting to her FanTime subscription site, claims have circulated through the rumor mill about how much money Rose was making from her sexy side hustle.
Whether it’s true that Mandy (real name Amanda Saccomanno) made more from the web than she did from her WWE contract or not, it seems that getting fired was very good for mandyrosesacs.com’s business.

Mandy’s agent — Malki Kawa of First Round Management, an agency whose other clients include Johnny Gargano, Indi Hartwell, and Valerie “Lola Vice” Loureda, among others — told TMZ she’s made $500,000 in FanTime subscriptions since WWE cut her loose last Wednesday.

That’s all for now. Thank you for your attention.
