FIFA World Cup 2022 Semi Final, Argentina vs Croatia.
Lionel Messi is back in the World Cup final with Argentina on his mission to win soccer’s biggest prize for the first time. And, at 35, he could hardly be playing any better. Messi converted a penalty and had a hand in the other two goals by Julián Álvarez, leading Argentina to a 3-0 win over Croatia on Tuesday that set up a meeting with either France or Morocco in Sunday’s title match. It will be Messi’s second World Cup final. Argentina lost the other one to Germany in 2014. in what might be his last appearance at the tournament.



India vs Bangladesh 1st Test Match, Day 1:
Risbhabh Pant is batting at a good strike rate and Chetehwar Pujara is holding the other end tight as three-down India look to recover against Bangladesh in the ongoing first Test of the two-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. India have lost KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. Taijul Islam has taken two wickets while Khaled Ahmed has picked one so far. India’s stand-in skipper KL Rahul had won the toss and opted to bat first against the Shakib Al Hasan-led side. Regular India skipper Rohit Sharma misses the game due to a thumb injury therefore KL Rahul is captaining the side.



The France vs Morocco match will be played on December 15 2022, in the Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, qatar. Defending champions France look to be in great form since the beginning of the FIFA World Cup 2022. With the exception of the Tunisia match, they have won all the matches in the tournament so far. Morocco became the first African nation to reach the world cup semi-finals after upsetting Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal 1-0. Mbappe and Giroud will be key players to watch out as both of them will have a chance to secure their spot as the leading goal-scorer in the tournament and take their team to the final again.



IPL 2023 Auction –
On December 15, Karachi is slated to host the player draft for PSL 8. The players’ draft of the Pakistan Super League 2023 has attracted more than 500 foreign players, including Australians Matthew Wade and Aaron Finch. This came as an unexpected googly for the Indian Premier League 2023 whose Player Auction is set to take place on 23rd December 2022 in Kochi. Notably, many IPL hopefuls will also be taking part in the PSL draft.




Messi becomes Argentina’s all-time record goal scorer
It took only 34 minutes for the 25-year-old Messi to find the back of the net as he converted a penalty. With the penalty goal he wrote another page in his illustrious career as he became Argentina’s highest scorer in the World Cup, surpassing Gabriel Batistuta, who had scored 10 goals during his 12 World Cup appearances. The Paris Saint-Germain man had already surpassed Diego Maradona during the tournament for most goals and Tuesday evening proved the be the best of lot with another feather in the cap.

Bengaluru Bulls put on an inspiring performance to defeat Dabang Delhi K.C. 56-24 in Eliminator 1 at the Dome, NSCI SVP Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday and set up a semi-final clash against Jaipur Pink Panthers on 15 December 2022. Bharat (15 points) and Vikash Kandola (13 points) emerged as the best players for the Bulls on the night.


The second match of the Big Bash League 2022 will see a contest between Adelaide Strikers (STR) and Sydney Sixers (SIX). The two sides last met in the Challenger game of the previous edition of the tournament. Both cleared the league stage and moved further. When they met in the tournament’s penultimate game last season, Sixers emerged victorious and made it to the final.
Sixers ended the previous season as runners-up, after losing to Perth Scorchers in the final. Travis Head, the Strikers’ skipper, is currently on national duty and thus the team will be led by Chris Lynn. On the other hand, the Sixers will be led by all-rounder Moises Henriques. Both teams did great in the last edition and will be eying for a big start.



Pakistan cricket on Monday hit forgettable low after they lost the Test series to England at home. A 26-run defeat in Multan in the second Test handed Pakistan a third consecutive defeat on home soil for the first time since 1959. Besides the series defeat, Pakistan are all but out of the race to make the World Test Championship final. Babar Azam has been immensely criticised for the series defeat and for his batting performance in the two Tests, but the captain responded to the criticism with a cryptic message on social media on Tuesday.



Australia vs South Africa 1st Test
Australia will continue their red-ball summer with a three-game series against South Africa, beginning with the first Test in Brisbane. After making light work of West Indies in their 2-0 series win, the Aussies will now face a much tougher task and will be hoping to continue their strong form. Pat Cummins will likely be back in action for the series against the Proteas, but the same can’t be said for fellow paceman Josh Hazlewood, who has been ruled out through injury. South Africa will boast a strong squad that includes the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Dean Elgar and Temba Bavuma.



Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani who was earlier reported to have shown interest in buying the renowned English football club Liverpool FC has now reportedly shown interest in buying another English football club which is Arsenal. According to a report published in The Athletic, it claimed that Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani is a big fan of Arsenal and the family is likely to enter the race to buy Arsenal FC instead of Manchester United or Liverpool FC.



Former England allrounder crashes during episode of BBC show, Top Gear. Andrew Flintoff airlifted to hospital after car crash during filming. The accident occurred on Monday, when Flintoff, 45, was filming in icy conditions at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.
“Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately,” the BBC said in a statement.



Brazil and PSG superstar Neymar has penned an emotional farewell message for departing coach Tite, calling him one of the best coaches he will ever work with. Brazil were knocked out after losing against Croatia in the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
