Chasing a target of 355 runs, Pakistan could only muster up a total of 328 runs in the second innings of the second Test in Multan. Saud Shakeel led the scoring charts for the hosts, scoring 94 runs while Imam-ul-Haq (60), Mohammad Nawaz (45) and Abudllah Shafique (45) also played important knocks. Chasing 188 for a win, India took the game to the Super Over, where they clinched the contest by four runs, handing Australia women their first T20I loss of the year. Al Hilm will take the place of Al Rihla, which was the match ball used up until the quarterfinal rounds of the competition. Al Rihla’s groundbreaking adidas “Connected Ball” technology, which has aided match officials in making quicker and more accurate decisions during matches, will be included in the new ball as well.



CBF chief backs Argentina to lift 2022 FIFA World Cup

2 Argentinian players suspended
Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel won’t be available for Argentina’s match against Croatia in the World Cup semifinals. The two players are suspended due to their yellow card accumulation. Lionel Scaloni will now have to adjust his strategy for the match against Croatia.



Kohli’s heartfelt tribute to Ronaldo
Following Portugal’s exit from the FIFA World Cup, one of Ronaldo’s biggest supporters, Virat Kohli, poured his heart out in a touching tribute he sent to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. The former Pakistani cricketer addressed the reports about their rumoured divorce recently. According to ETimes, talking to a news portal, Shoaib reportedly said, “It is our personal matter. Neither I nor my wife is answering this question. Leave it alone.”


Injured pace spearhead Josh Hazlewood on Monday was ruled out of Australia’s opening Test against South Africa in Brisbane this week, but skipper Pat Cummins “appears likely” to play. Hazlewood, who has a side strain and missed the just-completed second Test against the West Indies in Adelaide, was the only omission in a 14-man squad. But Cummins is set to return after also sitting out the 419-run win in Adelaide with a thigh problem.

Every franchise has a total salary cap of Rs. 95 crores in the auction. During the retentions, the 10 teams retained 163 players in their squad. Now, there are 87 slots available overall during IPL 2023 auction. SRH has the highest remaining purse with over 40 crores in their bank and KKR with 7.05 crores has the least purse remaining heading into the auction.
